The George Arts Theatre Booking app
The design problem
At the stage of this project, the theatre didn't have a proper booking system they can trust.
The idea of the app came from initial marketing strategies, information communication, as well as optimizing for a younger audience.
The app will also cut out the middleman, saving the theatre costs.
The solution came through in the form of a bookings app inspired by a movie cinema app, thus following Jacob's Law of Ux
(Users spend most of their time on other sites. This means that users prefer your site to work the same way as all the other sites they already know.)
The app is easy to use, making bookings extremely easy.
The Arts Theatre can also use push notifications to notify and remind users of their bookings.
I focussed on designing the Ui for the app according to their 50-year brand theme.
